Advocates is looking to hire a Benefits Coordinator! Ideal candidates will be customer service-oriented, a team contributor with exceptional communication skills, ability to actively problem solve, attention to detail and organization. This creative thinker will perform well under deadlines and maintain a high degree of confidentiality within our Human Resources department.

This role is hybrid, with 3 office days per week. 

Minimum Education Required

High School Diploma/GED


    1. Monitor and maintain various employee benefit programs
    2. Entry of data for benefits transactions
    3. Ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of benefits premiums and billing, investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.
    4. Respond to employee benefits questions
    5. Conduct benefits informational sessions
    6. Scheduling employee wellness events and assisting in other benefits and Human Resource support tasks as needed. 
    7. Attend and actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.
    8. Attend and actively participate in all trainings as assigned.
    1. Adhere to all principles related to the Advocates Way.
    2. Ensure that individuals are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates Human Rights Policy.
    3. Perform all duties in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
    4. Strictly follow all agency Performance Standards.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or High School diploma/ GED plus 1-2 years’ experience in Human Resources, customer service, or similar.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Strong computer skills.  Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Must be detailed oriented and have strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to be productive in a fast pace deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to interpret personnel policies, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and interact effectively with agency management and staff. 
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills, and ability to work in team atmosphere, as well as independently.
  • Ability to maintain a professional approach and handle confidential materials.
