Career Representative
Waystone is currently in search of a Career Representative to support job seekers facing employment barriers by guiding them through targeted job readiness training, career development, job placement, and retention strategies. As a Career Representative, you will work to understand each individual’s strengths, needs, and goals, with the aim of helping them find long-term employment. In this role, you will also connect with local employers and build relationships to uncover job opportunities that best support the individuals we serve.
Location: Office is located in Lawrence, MA. This is a hybrid position that involves 20% of regular travel throughout Northeast Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Mileage for work-related travel will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm. You will be expected to work in the office at least twice per week.
This position is benefit eligible as of date of hire.
Compensation: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The hourly pay range is between $21.00 - 23.76

Job Responsibilities:
Work one-on-one with individuals by guiding them through the required curriculum, including resume and cover letter development, interview preparation, and professional skill-building.
Provide training on effective job search strategies and assist individuals with navigating application processes.
Establish and maintain strategic relationships with employers to effectively promote the skills and qualifications of program participants, based on their assessed goals and capabilities.
Coordinate referrals of well-matched candidates to appropriate opportunities, support interview processes as needed, and facilitate successful job placements.
Offer ongoing job placement follow-up services to both employers and individuals, including on-site coaching and retention support.
Additional Responsibilities:
Offer group sessions as needed to support participants in developing job search strategies and strengthening professional skills.
Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant program guidelines, funding requirements, state regulations, and Waystone’s policies and procedures.
Accurately document the individual's interactions and meeting notes in the department’s database in a timely and professional manner.
Carry out all responsibilities with a strong commitment to upholding legal, civic, and human rights, while ensuring confidentiality is maintained in all aspects of the work.
Provide transportation to individuals as needed to support program participation and access to services.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field
is preferred.
A minimum of one year experience working with individuals with significant barriers to employment.
Proficient in computer applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and virtual platforms.
Candidates must be able to read, write, and comprehend English to create and implement the family support plan, document services provided, and communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
Valid driver’s license in good standing with minimum of 1 year driving experience and reliable transportation.
