Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Peer Mentor!
Peer Mentors provide specialized expertise based on sharing their own lived experience of mental health challenges with purpose and intent to inspire hope and motivation in a youth who is struggling with similar concerns.
In this important role, the Peer Mentor will:
guide youth through their treatment process providing outreach, peer support and advocacy, all in accordance to the client’s individual service plan
help clients gain access to recovery resources and communities
work in coordination with the clinical team while using their recovery experience as a positive model for clients’ process.
Schedule: Part Time, 20 hours
flexible hours between 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.; schedule to be determined with manager
Pay Rate:
$21.63/hour
$22.28/hour with Certification as a Peer Specialist

Required Skills
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) required
Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required
Required Experience
High School Degree/GED required; Bachelors preferred
One year experience working with target population required, though experience as a consumer can be substituted
Certification as a Peer Specialist (can be attained after hire) required
